River Route on Your Rural Getaway at Casa Escondida A Veiga
- Pick-up at Casa Escondida A Veiga
- We will navigate the river to Belesar, observing vineyards, forests, and then bordering Cabo do Mundo, we will head towards Penedo do Garabullo. Next, we will visit Fervenza da Augacalda, one of the most visited waterfalls in Galicia, with a drop of 40 meters, where you can refresh yourself and taste wine from a local winery with a snack.
- Additionally, we will make a stop at Finca Millara Winery, where we will taste their wines and visit their vineyard, an essential experience in rural tourism.
- Optionally, we can make a stop for lunch at Casa Maiorga or Playa da Cova.

– Discover our off-road rural getaway, carried out in two 8-seater Land Rover Santana Anibal vehicles, perfect for exploring the majestic Ribeira Sacra.
– Departures for this rural tourism adventure can be organized from any point near our rural housea.
– Our standard route, with a duration of approximately 4 hours, takes you through vineyards, forests, and hidden viewpoints, discovering the rich Romanesque heritage of the area.
– The 4×4 plans are fully customizable, allowing you to design the ideal rural getaway, whether visiting more wineries or enjoying more stunning panoramas.
– Example of a standard rural getaway: Pick-up at Casa Escondida A Veiga. From there, we will head to the Mirador de Abadía da Cova, offering spectacular views of Cabo do Mundo. We will continue to enjoy the terraced vineyards of Finca Millara, with the option of a wine tasting. The route continues towards Romanesque treasures such as Santa Mariña de Eiré and the Monastery of the Clarisas in Ferreira de Pantón. We will conclude with a visit to the viewpoints of Pena Pombeira and de la Cruz, where the beauty of the Sil River in its final stretches before joining the Miño can be admired. Additionally, there is the possibility of organizing a wine tasting at Bodega Alma das Donas, a family jewel of the region

You don’t need to go far to live a great adventure. You will sail along the Miño among vineyards, forests, and Romanesque churches, guided by our expert captain, Luisa Rubines, and attended to at all times.
On our nautical route, we offer stops to:
– Enjoy a spectacular waterfall surrounded by forests in Castro de Marce and its Xacias, explore a bend or the island of Sernande.
– Have a snack at “A Taranxela,” our rural house by the river, and take a luxurious dip in our pontoon. (The water is warm almost always, although you must experience it to believe it). You can also take a nap.
PRICES
–We have two boats, one with a capacity for fifteen people and the other for twelve.
–The minimum price for each boat departure, regardless of the number of people making the journey, is €250.
–On all trips, we carry a cooler with water, beers, and soft drinks.
We offer two options:
OPTION A: (two hours) Boat ride.
– Up to 8 people: 250€
– From 9 to 12 people: 300€
– from 12 to 15 persons: 350€
OPTION B: (five horas)
Boat ride and picnic in the winery:
To the price of the boat we would have to add the picnic at the winery: Price per adult 40 € and for children under 14 years 20 €

For visitors coming from Chantada, we recommend first synchronizing the GPS with the town of Belesar and then, once there, with Pincelo. Catamaran Rides on the Miño
About 15km away is the Belesar pier (Lugo) where the Provincial Council of Lugo has several catamarans for enjoying rides on the Miño, admiring all its riches.

Rural Getaway in Ribeira Sacra with Riber Beach
Another highly recommended activity is to spend a day at Playa da Cova
To get there from the same house, you can drive, which takes about 20 minutes, or alternatively, you can request a boat to pick you up at the Casa Escondida pier, which will take about 5 minutes.
There, you can practice water sports such as kayaking, paddle surfing, and pedal boating on the Miño River
